For some time I had wanted to work with Bethany, and I
finally managed to arrange a shoot with her at the end of April. On the day I
was not hopeful of a good weather as there had been several days of poor
weather and the forecast was not good, so it was more in hope that I set off
for Oxford to meet with Bethany. As usual the traffic in Oxford was dire and I
had to keep a sharp eye out for Traffic Wardens, as I was not going to pay to
park for a few minutes as I waited in St. Giles, the agreed meeting place.
Bethany finally arrived and we set off for Great Coxwell to start the shoot.
On arrival at Great Coxwell I made a beeline for the Tithe
Barn, as this was my choice for the first location of the day. It was cold and
windy and this was not going to be a good location to work from, so after a few
shots I decided to move on and as it was so windy I decided that we would be
more comfortable and warmer working from my home.
After a hot drink, we got down to doing more photos in my
garden making the most of the variety of mini locations within it including a
couple of garden seats and a nicely textured wall at the end of the
outbuildings that house my original darkroom. The last few photos that I took
were of Bethany’s tattoos before we set off back to Oxford. We did manage to
avoid rain showers through the shoot, just a pity that the sun did not put in
an appearance.
